Rok Belisarius Prime Talent Tree Build and Pairings Guide

Belisarius Prime is a legendary Cavalry commander in Rise of Kingdoms. He is an upgraded version of the epic commander Belisarius.

Is he worth investing in? Does he replace the current cavalry meta, Joan of Arc Prime, and Alexander Nevsky for openfield?

In this guide, you will find Belisarius Prime’s talent tree builds, best commander pairings, best formations, and pretty much anything you need to know

What is Commander Belisarius Prime good at?

Belisarius Prime is excellent for open-field fighting, especially for someone who prefers to do hit-and-run combat. Furthermore, he is also great for swarming down the targets.

Belisarius Prime Skill Overview

Custodian of the Empire (Active Skill)

Required Rage: 1000

Belisarius Prime’s active skill deals 2400 single-target damage. Additionally, for 2 seconds, the enemy target loses 50 rage per second. That’s a total of 100 rage reduction.

If the enemy target is surrounded, it inflicts the Deception effect for 5 seconds. The Deception effect makes the enemy march use 200 more rage to use the active skill.

For example, if the enemy march needs 1000 rage to use the active skill, with the Deception effect it will need 1200 rage. Furthermore, if 100 rage reduction also syncs up, the enemy will need 1300 rage while your march will need 1000.

To summarise the skills, it gives you a significant advantage over your enemy; it allows you to fire off your active skill before the enemy. It’s quite crucial in Openfield to be the first one to use an active skill.

Press the Advantage(2nd skill)

This is a pretty straightforward skill; your cavalry gets 30% attack and 20% March speed. You also receive 60% March speed for 5 seconds when your troop exits the battle.

This skill is a lifesaver for f2p players who do hit-and-run combat. You can hit enemies with your active skill and then escape the fight with a 60% March speed bonus.

To the Last Man (3rd skill)

His third skill grants your troops 25% defense. Additionally, when his troops are on the map and launch a basic attack, there is a 10% chance to deal 500 direct damage. It also has a 5-second cooldown.

This skill isn’t really that good; the 25% defense is nice, but a 10% chance for additional damage is way too small, and 5 seconds makes it even less effective in battle.

Pacification of Nika(4th skill)

His troops take 10% less skill damage. He also does 30% more skill damage when enemy marches have less than 80% troops remaining.

Less skill damage taken is always a nice buff to have, especially with so many commanders around doing massive skill damage. The 30% more skill damage is once again Great for hit-and-run combat

Roman Devotion(expertise)

If the current target of this commander’s troops is surrounded, enemy troops take more damage based on the number of troops surrounding the target.

  • 3 troops: 6% more damage
  • 4 troops: 9% more damage
  • 5 troops: 12% more damage

This is an incredible skill, especially if you are a whale player because you will always be hitting enemy troops with 5 marches, and for that enemy, March will take 12% damage. That’s a massive damage boost because the target will receive 12% more damage from all of March.

Even if you are not a whale, you can still swarm enemy marches with your friends and can get this bonus.

Is Belisarius Prime worth Investing in?

Without a doubt, he is one of the best cavalry commanders to invest in right now.

If you are an F2P player, then you can simply use him for hit-and-run combat. If you are a whale player, then he is a must-have commander to swarm enemy marches, forts, flags, and so on.

Skill upgrade order

5-5-1-5(expertise)

Belisarius Prime’s expertise skill is without a doubt quite strong, so you definitely need to unlock it, and to do that you will need all 4 skills maxed out.

However, if you are not able to expertise him right away, then you can upgrade his active skill and then his second skill for hit-and-run combat.

You can skip the 3rd skill and go directly for his 4th skill. His 3rd skill doesn’t seem that powerful. So, the skill upgrade order will be 5,5,1,5.

Belisarius Prime Talent Tree builds

For most pairings, Belisarius Prime will be the secondary commander. So, you don’t really need a talent tree for him.

However, you can use this mobility talent tree for him when you need him to use it for quick march speed tasks like carrying the ARK or grabbing the rune.

Belisarius Prime commander pairings

Belisarius Prime will mostly be used for Openfield fighting, especially for swarming and hit-and-run combat. Below you will find the best commander pairs to help you achieve that task.

Rise of kingdoms Alexander nevsky

One of the best cavalry commanders to pair with Belisarius Prime would be Alexander Nevsky.

The active skill of Nevsky gives you an advantage when the enemy target is surrounded; you receive the same buffs from Belisarius Prime’s active skill and expertise skill. That’s a perfect synergy for swarming down the targets.

Moreover, Nevsky also gives you march speeds, which makes this pairing one of the fastest on the field. He also gives a 20% cavalry health bonus, which is great since Belisarius doesn’t have health buffs.

Lastly, Nevsky’s 4th skill gives a massive skill-damage boost, which is really great for this pairing since both commanders deal huge skill damage.

The reason Nevsky is primary is the skill tree; it’s much better than Belisarius Prime’s mobility tree.

Huo qubing Rise of kingdoms

Huo Qubing is another commander whom you can pair with. He is the best pairing for Belisarius Prime for hit-and-run combat.

The 3rd skill of Huo Qubing requires 150 less rage to use the active skill. Now, at the same time, Belisarius debuffs the enemy to use more rage to use their active skill.

If you consider this synergy, your skill cycle will be much faster than the enemy, and you will have an enormous advantage over them.

Additionally, this same skill also gives you a 30% more skill damage boost. The 4th skill with expertise unlocked also gives you a 35% skill damage boost. That’s a total 65% skill damage boost!

Now, you can only imagine what kind of wreckage these two commanders will leave on their enemy with such a high skill damage factor on their active skills.

These are not the best possible pairing for Belisarius Prime, but still usable if you want to create a 3rd or 4th cavalry March.
