XY/Honda will be much more suitable for big group fights. However, XY/ Saladin will be much better choice if you are f2p and prefer to support your ally(don’t worry it will still do tons of damage)

Bjorn ironside is a good commander but Sun Tzu is still better because of the high skill AOE and rage regeneration
There are so many but if you are looking for one specific then go with Alexander the Great, He is an open field beast and as a F2P you can pair him with lots of other commanders too.
