What is Commander David IV good at?
David IV is excellent for Garrison, So, He is specifically designed for Whales and big leaders of your alliance and kingdom. If you are F2P than there is nothing much for you in this guide.
David IV Skill Overview
Wolf of Didgori (Active Skill)
Required Rage: 1000
Launches 2 combo attacks against up to 3 enemy troops in a fan (Damage Factor 1400; every additional target reduces the damage to each target by 15%).
Immediately cleanses 2 Slow Poison, Exhaustion, or other normal debuff effects from this commander’s troop (for effects with multiple stacks, it cleanses 1 stack).
- Combo attack damage is affected by bonuses to normal damage. Combo attacks can trigger any effect triggered by basic attacks (e.g. “whenever this commander’s troop launches/is hit by a basic attack” effects). They do not trigger counterattacks.
- Slow effects include any effects that reduce the March Speed of a troop.
- The Poison effect is inflicted by Tomyris’s “Massagetae’s Counterattack” skill, as well as Prime Hermann’s “Mandrake Root” and “Forest of Fallen Eagles” skills.
- The Exhaustion effect is inflicted by Chandragupta Maurya’s “Arthashastra” skill.
- Normal debuffs include debuffs that reduce the target’s Attack, Defense, Health, or healing received.

Retaking the Caucasus(4th skill)
Whenever this commander’s troop uses an active skill while attacking a troop on the map, the target takes 40% more combo attack damage for the next 3 seconds. Cooldown: 5 seconds.

Is David IV worth Investing in?
As you can see, most of his skills are specifically designed for garrison. He is the current garrison meta, so if you are a garrison leader for your alliance than you definitely need him. For F2P who are looking for openfield, there are far better options out there.
