Rok Shajar al-Durr Talent Tree Build, Pairings, and Equipments Guide

Shajar al-Durr is a newly released legendary archer commander in the rise of Kingdoms (rok). She comes with new healing effects that can change the way we use the archer commanders in the game. However, is she worth investing in? In this guide you will find Shajar al-Durr’s talent tree builds, best commander pairings, best equipments, formations, and pretty much anything you need to know

What is commander Shajar al-Durr good at?

Shajar al-Durr is good for open-field fighting for archer players. Her talent tree and skills are designed for that particular task. she is particularly good with healing and debuffing enemy march speeds. You can mainly use her for city pop-ups to quickly target enemy marches and accumulate kill points.

Shajar al-Durr Skill Overview

Tree of Life (Active Skill)

Required Rage: 1000

Her active skill is quite complicated, it works differently when Shajar is the primary commander or secondary commander.

When she is the primary commander, it deals 2800 damage which is great. However, it’s only single-target damage so not that great overall.

When used as a secondary commander she heals troops with a 2000 healing factor. Now healing is not that in the game right now but there is more.

For the next 10 seconds, She also deals 80% of her healing strength as true damage. So she heals her troops and deals damage at the same time. This can be quite a powerful combination, especially for city pop-ups for quick-kill points.

Regardless of whether you use her as primary or secondary, she reduces the enemy’s march speed by 50%. This is a massive debuff as march speed is very important in open-field battles. this debuff is even more dangerous for slow infantry.

Overall it’s a great skill as long as you use Shajar as secondary commander.

Strength of the Sultana (2nd skill)

This is a pretty straightforward skill, your troops get 35% Archer health and 20% March speed. Not too bad but not too good either.

Dew of Devotion (3rd skill)

This skill makes your troops take 10% of normal damage. A

Additionally, it also heals 3 marches(including this March) for a 500 healing factor whenever active skill is used. This skill also has a 3-second cooldown.

This is also a good skill since Shajar’s first skill does damage based on healing strength.

Braving the Danger (4th skill)

First up, troops take 20% less damage while on the map.

Moreover, when the troop count is reduced to 60%, she heals a massive 5000 heal factor. It sounds impressive especially because of her first skill. However, there is a huge problem because upon healing she also loses 40% Attack for 8 seconds.

She does get 20% less damage for the same duration and this skill does get reset once you enter your city.

It’s not that great of a skill for field fighting because of the 40% reduced attack. However, it’s an excellent skill for city pop attacks where you quickly come out of your city, hit enemy marches, and get back inside the city.

Pearlescent Heart (expertise)

Whenever Shajar heals troops it grants 10% defense and 20% more normal damage attacks to the healed troops for 3s. It is not a hugely important skill but it is a nice little buff for your and your ally’s marches.

Is Shajar al-Durr Prime worth Investing in?

Well, if you already have Zhuge Liang and Hermann Prime in your commander roster and you are only using one Archer March then you don’t really need her. Both of those commanders can get the job done for you.

However, if you are looking to make a second archer march and already have Ashurbanipal then you can consider investing in her. She will be a better value commander than some of the older commanders like Boudica Prime Nebuchadnezzar. Shajar might be also good with future commanders with her healing tactics.

Skill upgrade order

5-1-1-5(expertise)

There are two ways to use Shajar al-Durr in fights. First is regular field fighting. In that case, you will need expertise skills and need to upgrade all skills.

The second way is much better, you can use her for city pops only. In that scenario, you don’t really need expertise skills. You won’t need a second skill either because don’t need that much march speed for this strategy.

The 3rd skill does have healing but it’s not in that huge amount and you probably won’t be healing your allies in this scenario. So, you can also skip it.

So the skill upgrade order for this method would be 5,1,1,5. To effectively use Shajar pull back her inside the city once her 4th skill gets triggered and you receive the massive healing.

Shajar al-Durr Talent Tree builds

Shajar al-Durr is better to be used as a secondary commander. However, for some reason, if you want to use her as the primary commander, then you can go with this talent tree.

The Best Talent Tree (Open field / Rally / Canyons)

Shajar talent tree rok

This talent tree is pretty much a standard archer tree with the main focus on skill and remaining points in the archer tree. Shajar al-Durr mainly relies on her active skill to do the damage so a skill like Feral Nature should be extremely useful to fire off her active skill quickly.

Shajar al-Durr commander pairings

Shajar’s skills are quite different than most of the existing Archer commanders so, it would be quite difficult to pair her with the right commander. However, these commanders will be a pretty good choice for her in the current commander roster.

Rise of kingdoms zhuge liang

Zhuge Liang is currently the number one Archer commander in the game. He himself is powerful enough to work any archer commander and Shajar is no exception. While his best pairing would be Hermann Prime, you can still use him as primary to the Shajar al-Durr. He brings Valuable AOE and High skill damage something that Shajar is missing.

Choe Yeong Rise of Kingdoms

Choe Yeong’s active skill perfectly syncs with Shajar’s active skill. It’s like Lilith copy pasted Shajar’s active skill description and simply reduced the healing factor and added 5 targets AOE. However, Choe Yeong is the garrison commander which means it won’t be that good for an open field.

This pair is definitely usable as a secondary archer march but it won’t be anywhere close to being as good as Zhuge Liang and Hermann Prime pairing. However, You can use Choe Yeong just by leveling him up to 5,5,1,1 and Shajar by just leveling her to 5,1,1,5. it’s an excellent value march to use for City pop-ups with very low legendary commander sculpture investment.

legendary Hermann prime rise of kingdom

Hermann Prime is an extremely powerful debuffer with his poison stacks. Shajar’s 50% march speed reduction can allow him to add more poison stacks to the enemy marches. Hermann can also do AOE damage and Shajar can provide him a little bit of tankiness with healing.

With Shajar’s 3rd skill which heals allies, you can have quite a good support march for your main march. Once again, not the best possible pairing but still usable in the open field.
