Now, in this guide, we will show how you can create farm accounts, develop them quickly, and use them properly to fulfill the resource requirements of your main account. So, let’s get started.

Which Civilization to Pick for Farm Accounts?

france-civilization-rok

This is the most common question amongst the new players which Civilization is good for a farm account?

Well, the answer is the France Civilization. The reason why France is the best Civilization for farming is that you get Joan of Arc as starting commander for free.

Joan of Arc is the best epic gathering commander. Her second skill boosts the farming speed of all resources by 25%. It also increases troop load by 25% so you can gather more resources before your troops need to come back to the city

Civilization changes based on the Farm account type

Once you obtain Joan of Arc by picking the France, you can later change your Civilization based on Farm type.

What is farm type? Well, there are 4 main resources in the game, Food, Wood, Stone, and Gold. It’s better to create one farm account for each resource type rather than gathering all resources from one account because of the resources-specific gathering boost from Civilization.

Below you will find which Civilization is best for which resource type.

  • Food – Rome(10% food gathering speed)
  • Wood – France(10% wood gathering speed)
  • Stone – Greece or Byzantium(10% stone gathering speed)
  • Gold – Japan(5% all resources gathering speed

As you can there is no gold-specific Civilization, so you can use Japan as the next best option which provides a 5% gathering boost for all resources.

Additionally, if you don’t want to manage multiple farm accounts then you can also pick Japan and gather all resources from that account.

You can check out our Civilization guide to learn more about them.

Gathering Commanders

In order to gather resources quickly in your farm account you will need gathering commanders. Below you will see the full list of gathering commanders along with their resource-gathering speed boost.

  • Cleopatra VII – 30% Stones
  • Seondeok – 30% Gold
  • Ishida Mitsunari – 30% Food
  • Joan of Arc – 25% All resources
  • Matilda of Flanders – 25% stones
  • Queen Tamar of Georgia – 25% wood
  • Constance – 20% wood
  • Sarka – 18% All resources
  • Gaius Marius – 20% Food
  • Centurion – 10% All resources
gathering commander talent tree

In order to get full advantage of the gatherers, you need to level them up to level 37. Once you reach that level, there is no need to level them up further, it will give you enough talent points to build a full-gathering talent tree. This talent tree further boosts your gathering speed and gives you other resource-related bonuses.

All gathering commanders’ skills will be quite easy to max out except for the legendary gathering commanders like Cleopatra. Now, generally, you need to avoid spending your legendary commander sculptures on gathering commanders, but since this is a farm account specifically made to maximize resource gain, you can consider spending them on gatherers.

How to transfer resources to the main Account

rok trading post

Once you get a nice stack up your farm account with resources, You need to transfer them over to your main account. resource transfer is done by a building called “Trading Post“

In order to transfer the resource farm account to the main account, Both accounts need to be in the same alliance. You also need a March queue to send resources, so make sure your troops are inside the city.

Another thing that you should do is teleport your farm account near to the main account, that way your troops will be able to transfer resources quickly. if both cities are further from each other, it will take more time to transfer resources due to longer march speed.

You also need to keep Trading Tax in mind. The higher the level of the Trading post building, the lower the tax on the resource transfer. So, you should upgrade Trading Post to the next level as soon as it becomes available.

Tips for making great farm accounts

  • Name your farm accounts the same as the Main account, that way other players of the kingdom will know that it’s your farm account.
  • Join the farm alliance. Most kingdoms create resource-specific farm alliances to farm one resource type. They always have the same alliance resource gathering point to continuously farm that particulate resource.
  • Only upgrade useful buildings like the Trading Post, resource buildings, and city hall.
  • Avoid spending resources on resource on useless expensive buildings like hospitals and military research, they have no use for farm accounts.
  • Focus on the economy technology tree in Academy research.
  • Killing barbarians also gives you lots of resource packs. So, whenever you have a chance, hunt down some barbarians.
  • during KvK, keep your farm away from the fighting area or it might get plundered by enemies.
