Sony has unveiled a new range of limited-edition PlayStation 5 hardware and accessories inspired by Insomniac Games’ upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine.
The collection includes a special PS5 Digital Edition bundle, two Wolverine-themed DualSense controllers and several console covers to bring Logan’s iconic look to their gaming setup.
Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow PS5 Bundle
The centerpiece of the collection is the PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle.
The console features a bold yellow finish inspired by Wolverine’s Battle Reborn suit from the upcoming game, along with claw-slashed detailing that exposes part of the console’s internal design.
The bundle also includes a matching Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller and a digital download code for Marvel’s Wolverine.
Sony says the design was created in collaboration with Insomniac Games and Marvel Games, with artwork from Scottish graphic artist Jock helping shape the visual style.
The limited-edition PS5 Digital Edition bundle is priced at $649.99 in the US, £569.99 in the UK, €649.99 in Europe and ¥96,980 in Japan.
Two Wolverine-Themed DualSense Controllers
Players who already own a PS5 won’t necessarily need to purchase the entire console bundle.
Sony is also releasing the DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition separately.
The controller uses the same yellow-and-claw aesthetic as the limited-edition console and will be available globally.
It is priced at $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK, €84.99 in Europe and ¥12,480 in Japan.
Sony is also offering a second design called the Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition DualSense.
This version takes inspiration from the adamantium bonded to Wolverine’s skeleton and claws, using a metallic finish combined with the character’s signature claw marks.
The Adamantium DualSense will also cost $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK, and €84.99 in Europe.
Wolverine PS5 and PS5 Pro Console Covers
Sony isn’t stopping at controllers. Owners of existing PS5 hardware can also customize their consoles with Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition console covers.
The Battle Yellow covers will be available for both the standard PS5 slim console and PS5 Pro.
Sony says the covers support PS5 systems with disc drives as well as versions without disc drives. The covers are priced at $74.99 in the US, £64.99 in the UK, and €74.99 in Europe.
For PS5 Pro owners who prefer the metallic Wolverine aesthetic, Sony is also releasing Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition PS5 Pro Console Covers.
These feature a metallic finish and the same claw-slashed design used across the Adamantium accessories.
The Adamantium PS5 Pro covers will also cost $74.99 in the US and £64.99 in the UK.
Release Date and Pre-Orders
The Wolverine-themed hardware will launch alongside Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine.
Sony has confirmed that the game and the limited-edition hardware will become available on September 15, 2026, with the products being offered in limited quantities.
Pre-orders for the PS5 Digital Edition bundle and accessories begin August 19, 2026, at 10 AM local time in supported regions.
In the US, pre-orders through PlayStation Direct begin at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.
Sony’s direct online store currently lists the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Austria among the regions where PlayStation Direct is available for these pre-orders.
Marvel’s Wolverine Arrives on PS5 in September
The new hardware arrives just ahead of one of PlayStation’s biggest first-party releases of 2026.
Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Wolverine is an original single-player action game centered on Logan and his adamantium claws.
The game is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026, exclusively on PS5, with PS5 Pro enhancements also supported.
Sony has previously shown gameplay featuring Wolverine’s brutal close-range combat and a story that takes players across locations including the Canadian wilderness, Tokyo and Madripoor.
Those buying a new console can opt for the $649.99 Battle Yellow PS5 Digital Edition bundle, while existing PS5 owners can simply pick up one of the themed DualSense controllers or console covers.
With limited quantities and pre-orders opening on August 19, collectors will likely be keeping a close eye on availability ahead of the September 15 launch.
This article will be updated if Sony announces additional regional pricing, retailers, or availability details.
