September is here, and PlayStation Plus subscribers have four new games to add to their libraries. Sony has put together a varied lineup this month, with a baseball simulator, a tactical shooter, a retro-inspired JRPG, and a chaotic co-op sandbox adventure.
The PlayStation Plus September 2026 Monthly Games are now available, and subscribers can claim them from September 1 through October 5, 2026.

| Game | Platform |
|---|---|
| MLB The Show 26 | PS5 |

| Wobbly Life | PS5, PS4 |
| Chained Echoes | PS4 |
All four games are available to PlayStation Plus members, although the Monthly Games lineup can vary by region.
MLB The Show 26
Platform: PS5
Sports fans have arguably received the biggest-name game this month with MLB The Show 26.
Developed by San Diego Studio, the latest entry in Sony’s long-running baseball series offers realistic baseball gameplay and career-focused modes.
You can build your career through Road to the Show, compete in Diamond Dynasty, and create your own baseball legacy.
The game also expands its Road to the Show experience with the MLB Draft Combine and additional college teams.
Diamond Dynasty features MLB players from different eras alongside new card series tied to events such as the 2026 All-Star Game and World Baseball Classic.
Interestingly, PlayStation Plus members also receive access to an MLB The Show 26 Jump Start Bundle, which includes five The Show Packs, an Equipment Pack and a Jumpstart Choice Pack.
The bundle is available for a limited time. For baseball fans, this is a standout game of September.
Sniper Elite: Resistance

Platforms: PS5, PS4
If baseball isn’t your thing, Sniper Elite: Resistance brings some much-needed tactical action to this month’s lineup.
Set during World War II, the game follows a parallel story to Sniper Elite 5 and takes you behind enemy lines in occupied France.
As expected from the series, stealth, long-range shooting, and tactical combat are at the heart of the experience.
One of the biggest attractions is that the entire campaign can be played cooperatively.
You can also jump into the returning Axis Invasion mode, which lets one player invade another player’s campaign as an enemy sniper.
There is also a competitive multiplayer mode supporting up to 16 players, while Survival mode allows teams of up to four players to fight waves of enemies.
For anyone who enjoys methodically lining up ridiculous long-distance headshots, this is probably the game to download first.
Wobbly Life

Platforms: PS5, PS4
Looking for something a little less serious? Wobbly Life might be the sleeper pick of September.
The physics-based open-world sandbox lets you explore Wobbly Island, complete jobs, take on missions, and mess around with a variety of activities.
The game supports both solo play and multiplayer, with up to four players able to play together through online or local split-screen co-op.
There are also several arcade-style activities and mini-games, including Hide & Seek, Wobble Run and Trash Zone.
The game is less about following a strict progression path and more about simply messing around with friends.
If you have a couple of friends looking for a casual multiplayer game, Wobbly Life could end up being one of the most played games in this month’s selection.
Chained Echoes

Platform: PS4
The most interesting pick for RPG fans is Chained Echoes.
Released in 2022, Chained Echoes is a story-driven JRPG inspired by the classic 16-bit era.
The game follows a group of heroes travelling across the continent of Valandis while attempting to bring an end to a war between three kingdoms.
Its presentation evokes the golden era of 16-bit RPGs, while its world uses traditional fantasy with more unusual elements, including mechanical suits that players can pilot.
The game is filled with exploration, turn-based combat, magic, and a large story-driven adventure.
It is also the only PS4-only title in September’s lineup, although PS5 owners can still play it through backwards compatibility.
For players who grew up with classic Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger-style RPGs, Chained Echoes is definitely worth checking out.
When Can You Download the September PS Plus Games?
The September 2026 PlayStation Plus Monthly Games became available on September 1, 2026.
They will remain available to claim until October 5, 2026.
Once you claim a Monthly Game, it remains available in your PS Plus library for as long as you maintain an active subscription.
Don’t Forget August’s PS Plus Games
If you somehow haven’t claimed August’s games yet, there’s bad news: the previous lineup has already rotated out.
August’s selection included Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk and Signalis, with subscribers having until August 31 to add them to their libraries.
Which September PS Plus Game Should You Play First?
September is actually a pretty solid month for PS Plus, especially because the four games cover completely different types of players.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is the obvious choice for action and shooter fans, while MLB The Show 26 gives sports fans a substantial game to sink their time into.
For something more relaxed and multiplayer-focused, Wobbly Life looks like the perfect option for playing with friends. Meanwhile, Chained Echoes is arguably the hidden gem of the lineup for RPG fans.
