PlayStation Plus subscribers have another batch of games to finish before they disappear from the Game Catalog.
The September 2026 removals include several notable titles, with 10 games currently scheduled to leave PlayStation Plus on September 15, 2026.
The lineup includes Persona 5 Tactica, Madden NFL 26, Toukiden 2, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, and three games from the Shadowrun series. Premium subscribers will also lose access to two classic Toy Story titles.
Games Leaving PlayStation Plus in September 2026
The following games are scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on September 15, 2026:
| Game | Platform |
|---|---|
| Madden NFL 26 | PS5 |
| Persona 5 Tactica | PS5, PS4 |
| Toukiden 2 | PS4 |
| Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back | PS4 |
| Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 | PS4 |
| Shadowrun Returns | PS5, PS4 |
| Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition | PS5, PS4 |
| Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut | PS5, PS4 |
| Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue | PS1 |
| Toy Story 3 | PSP |
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 is currently listed as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalog on the PlayStation Store.
Persona 5 Tactica
One of the biggest games leaving the service is Persona 5 Tactica, Atlus’ tactical RPG spin-off from Persona 5. The game uses the series’ characters and story with grid-based tactical combat.
Players who have been meaning to try the spin-off should make it a priority before the September 15 deadline.
Madden NFL 26
Madden NFL 26 is another major title leaving the Game Catalog. The latest entry in EA’s long-running football series is available on PS5 through PlayStation Plus.
Subscribers who have been playing Madden NFL 26 through their membership will need to purchase the game separately if they want to continue playing after it leaves the catalog.
Toukiden 2
Toukiden 2 is another notable departure. The PS4 action RPG from Koei Tecmo puts you in the role of a Slayer fighting powerful demons known as Oni.
The game offers a monster-hunting experience built around fast-paced combat, character progression, and a large world to explore.
It is particularly worth checking out if you enjoy games similar to the Monster Hunter formula.
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back is also leaving the service. The 2017 platformer brought back the classic Bubsy character for another adventure against the Woolies.
It is one of the shorter and more unusual games in this month’s departure list, making it a relatively easy title to squeeze into your backlog before September 15.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13
Strategy fans will want to keep an eye on Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13. The Koei Tecmo strategy game allows you to experience the legendary Three Kingdoms period through political relationships, military campaigns, and large-scale battles.
The PlayStation Store lists the game as a PS4 title and confirms that it is currently available through PlayStation Plus Extra. It is also playable on PS5 through backward compatibility.
For players who enjoy deep strategy and historical simulation, this could be one of the most time-consuming games to start shortly before its removal, so it is worth prioritizing if it interests you.
The Shadowrun Trilogy Is Leaving
Three games from the Shadowrun series are also departing the service: Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition.
The trilogy combines tactical RPG mechanics with a cyberpunk and fantasy setting. Players who enjoy story-driven strategy games should consider giving these titles a try before they disappear.
Two Toy Story Classics Are Being Removed
The final two departures are Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue and Toy Story 3, both part of the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics catalog.
Toy Story 2 is the PS1 version, while Toy Story 3 is the PSP release. Their removal gives Premium subscribers a limited window to experience these older Toy Story games through the service.
When Are These Games Leaving PS Plus?
All 10 games are scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on September 15, 2026.
Once they are removed, subscribers will no longer be able to play them through their PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium membership unless they purchase the games separately.
This is different from the monthly PlayStation Plus Essential games.
Game Catalog titles can leave the service even if you have downloaded them, so simply adding or downloading one of these games does not guarantee permanent access.
Which Games Should You Play Before They Leave?
Persona 5 Tactica is an obvious choice for RPG fans, while Toukiden 2 is worth checking out if you enjoy action-focused monster hunting.
Strategy fans should also consider Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 and the Shadowrun trilogy.
If you are interested in classic games, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue and Toy Story 3 are worth trying before they leave the Premium catalog.
With 10 games leaving PlayStation Plus on September 15, you have a sizeable backlog to work through before the deadline.
Note: We will update this article if Sony adds, removes, or changes any games in the September 2026 PlayStation Plus departure lineup.
