Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026 featured one of the company’s most significant software presentations in recent years, with artificial intelligence as the primary focus.

Introduction of Siri AI

Apple introduced macOS 27 Golden Gate, featuring AI enhancements, performance improvements, and a refined user experience.
The update focuses on deeper Apple Intelligence integration and supports the ongoing transition to Apple Silicon.
The new operating system offers enhanced productivity features, deeper Siri AI integration, and system-wide performance improvements.
Updates for iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS
Apple also announced updates to iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. While all receive Apple Intelligence features, iPadOS will have deeper Siri AI integration, and visionOS with improved virtual workspace controls and AI-assisted interactions.
Major Child Safety and Privacy Enhancements
Privacy and safety were central themes of the keynote. Apple introduced expanded parental controls, improved content filtering, enhanced Screen Time management, and new web permission tools to increase insight and protection for younger users.
Apple said that many AI features remain focused on prioritizing on-device processing and privacy-preserving technologies.
Release Schedule
Developer betas for the new operating systems are already available. Public betas will launch in July, with final releases of iOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27 expected later this fall.
