Snapdragon 780G was revealed by Qualcomm in March 2021. It’s a 5nm chipset with Kryo 670 CPU with ARM Cortex A-78, which gives a 40% performance boost compared to the last gen. This is s a solid chipset for mid-range gaming smartphones.

Adreno 642 is an integrated GPU in Snapdragon 780g, which runs at 490MHz. It gives about 50% better performance than Adreno 620.

Is Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G good?

As you can see, snapdragon 780g is showing some substantial numbers in AnTuTu 9 Benchmarks. It has received a nice boost in GPU performance. In comparison, graphical performance is slightly better than Snapdragon 778G. Snapdragon 780g provides really good performance while being energy efficient and it also has 5G connectivity. All of these things make it a really good processor for midrange gaming smartphones.

Gaming Performance

As we already mentioned it poses a 5G network with solid performance. On top of that, it has 120Hz refresh along with HDR support both of which are nice to have for a great gaming experience. This chipset will easily handle popular smartphone games BGMI at 60fps. But it might give you some problems with an extremely demanding game like Genshin Impact. Overall gaming performance won’t disappoint you.
