Bluepoint Games might’ve been shuttered in early 2026 after Sony’s big shake-up in the gaming world, but their legacy will continue for decades. This Austin, Texas–based team was literally the GOAT when it came to remaking classic games for new hardware, improving visuals, upgrading performance, and making old favorites feel brand-new again.
Their work is iconic and absolutely worth exploring. Here are some of their best games, the ones that truly show off their great talent.
1. Demon’s Souls (PS5 Remake)

This is arguably Bluepoint’s magnum opus. Originally a PS3 game from 2009, this remake dropped as a PS5 launch title and instantly became a flex for next-gen gaming. It had ultra-smooth performance, crispy visuals, and that same unforgiving action-RPG grind we all love (or secretly hate). It was a masterclass in keeping the soul of the original while making it so pretty that even Graphics card fanboys nodded in approval.
2. Shadow of the Colossus (PS4 Remake)

Bluepoint didn’t just remaster this masterpiece; they rebuilt it from scratch. The original was already legendary for its giant boss fights and sweeping atmosphere, and the remake took that to the next level. The visuals are gorgeous, the controls are tighter, and the emotional punch hits just as hard as it did back in the PS2 days.
3. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

This was one of the first times Bluepoint flexed on the remaster scene in a big way. Bringing the entire first three Uncharted games to PS4 with 1080p visuals and smooth 60fps made Nathan Drake’s epic treasure hunts feel fresh again. It’s basically a trilogy binge that’s just as fun as bingeing a blockbuster movie franchise.
4. God of War Collection

Before Bluepoint became THE remake studio, they were already doing cool things with older games. This collection took God of War and God of War II, two bangers from PS2, and remastered them for PS3 with crisp visuals and better controls. It helped introduce Kratos’ rage-filled origins to a whole new audience.
5. Gravity Rush (Remastered)

This one’s for folks who vibe with quirky, unique experiences. Gravity Rush already had a cult following thanks to its gravity-bending mechanics, and the remaster cleaned it up for modern consoles. Bluepoint helped make it even more stylish while keeping that indie charm alive.
Other Projects
Bluepoint also had a hand in a bunch of rad remasters and ports over the years, such as:
- Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
- Flower (PS4/PS Vita)
- Titanfall (Xbox 360 port)
- ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection
Even though Sony closed Bluepoint Games in 2026, their legacy will live on forever. The way they revived classic games with love, style, and next-level tech is something that truly changed how we think about remasters. Thank you, Blupoint Games.
