New Pokémon and Shiny Pokémon
Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet: This costumed Pikachu debuts in Part I and returns in one-star raids during Part II. Its Shiny version is available, so it is worth checking every encounter.
Zubat wearing a top hat – The costumed Zubat appears in Part I wild encounters and can also be obtained through event-themed Field Research. Its Shiny version is available.
Sinistea wearing a bow – Sinistea makes its costumed debut during Part I and appears in one-star raids throughout both parts. You can also encounter it through research, with a chance of finding its Shiny form.
Shiny Greavard – Starting November 1, Greavard’s Shiny form makes its Pokémon GO debut. Look for Greavard in the wild or through GO Pass and Field Research encounters during Part II.
The three costumed Pokémon debut in Part I, and all three have a chance to appear in their Shiny forms. Shiny Greavard is the top addition for Part II. Shiny encounters are not guaranteed, though.
Wild Pokémon Encounters
Both parts of the Halloween event feature themed wild encounters, although the featured Pokémon change as the celebration progresses.
Part I wild spawns
During Part I, keep an eye out for Zubat wearing a top hat, Duskull, Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume, and other event-themed Pokémon.
Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume may also appear.
The new costumed Pokémon are the main collectibles to target, especially if you want to complete your costume collection or hunt for Shiny variants. Pokémon GO
Part II wild spawns
Part II features Greavard, Litwick, Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume, and other event-themed Pokémon.
Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume may also appear.
Prioritise Greavard encounters if your main goal is to find its newly released Shiny form.
Since wild encounters are random, you will need to check multiple Greavard throughout the event. Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Raids
The confirmed one-star raid lineup for both parts includes the following Pokémon:
- Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet – Available in one-star raids. This is an opportunity to collect the new costume and hunt for its Shiny form.
- Sinistea wearing a bow – Also available in one-star raids
These are the one-star raids confirmed in the official event announcements.
Halloween 2026 Timed Research
Free Timed Research is available during both parts of the event.
The research tasks are automatically completed for all Trainers, so the key step is to open the research screen and claim the rewards before the relevant deadline.
| Event | Confirmed rewards | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Part I | 6 Rare Candies and an encounter with costumed Pikachu | November 1, 10:00 a.m. |
| Part II | 6 Rare Candies and an encounter with costumed Sinistea | November 5, 8:00 p.m. |
Note: All times are local.
Do not confuse the research deadline with the end of the overall Halloween celebration.
Part I research expires when Part I ends, even though the GO Pass continues. Part II research has its own deadline.
Field Research rewards
Event-themed Field Research tasks are also available by spinning PokéStops. Completing these tasks can reward encounters with Halloween-themed Pokémon.
During Part I, the available task rewards include encounters with costumed Zubat, Sinistea, Pikachu, Noibat, Misdreavus, Duskull, and Average Pumpkaboo, depending on the task.
During Part II, event-themed Field Research can also provide Greavard encounters, which are useful for the Shiny hunt.

Mega Sableye Super Max Level
Halloween Part II introduces the Super Max Mega Level for Mega Sableye.
This is a major addition if you have invested in powering up your Sableye.
To unlock Super Max, you must first raise Sableye’s Mega Level to Max, the third level.
You must then spend Mega Energy to power it up further; simply Mega Evolving it is not enough.
At Super Max, Mega Sableye gains access to the additional Charged Attack Night Shade+ while Mega Evolved.
The attack has 55 power in Trainer Battles and 160 power in Raid Battles, with its power increasing alongside Mega Level.
If you already have a high-level Sableye and sufficient Mega Energy, Part II is a good opportunity to work toward this new milestone.
Trick-or-Treat Wild Surprises
Halloween 2026 adds a special interaction to wild exploration. During Part I, you may find spooky surprises left behind by mischievous Pokémon.
Tap these surprises to potentially receive event-themed Pokémon encounters, Pikachu Candy, Zubat Candy, Sinistea Candy, or Rare Candy.
The rewards are random, so not every surprise will give you the same item. Pokémon GO
This is worth checking while hunting for the new costumed Pokémon. It adds another way to collect Candy and encounter event-themed Pokémon without relying entirely on raids.
Halloween Cosmetics, Stickers, and Music
The Halloween celebration also includes several cosmetic additions.
The Gothic Skirt Set, Gothic Shorts Set, Gothic Socks, and Gothic Boots are available for purchase in the in-game shop and remain available after the event ends.
Halloween-themed stickers can be obtained by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, or purchasing them from the shop. PokéStops and Gyms also receive seasonal decorations.
A remix of the Lavender Town music plays nightly during the Halloween event, providing a nostalgic soundtrack for the celebration. Pokémon GO.
