Well, this was the gaming benchmark for the RTX 4060 when paired with AMD Ryzen 7800x3D.
We used 1080p settings with the maximum graphics settings possible for all games, as this card is intended for 1080p Gaming.
You can surely play at 4K resolution for most games if you desire; however, fps will drop significantly.
You can check these numbers yourself to figure out if the RTX 4060 has good gaming performance for your favorite game.

RTX 4060 or RTX 3060: which one to get?
Both graphics cards are currently available in the market for almost the same price, which begs the question: which one of these should you pick?
One of the biggest differences between these two is in VRAM; RTX 3060 has 8GB of VRAM while RTX 4060.
While at first glance it seems like RTX 4060 is a downgrade to RTX 3060, it actually has a new Architect which improves performance as well as power efficiency.
Most games out there will be good with 8GB VRAM, so if your primary concern is gaming, then you can go with RTX 4060.
However, if you prefer VR gaming and content creation using software like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and others, then you will benefit more from the 12 GB VRAM of RTX 3060.

How future-proof is RTX 4060?
There is no doubt that RTX 4060 gives solid performance in 1080p gaming. However, the real question is whether it can provide that performance in upcoming games in the next couple of years.
Well, 8GB VRAM for the RTX 4060 will be a big limiting factor as video games become even more demanding in upcoming years.
Another huge problem with RTX 4060 is that it doesn’t really have that big of a leap in performance compared to the last-generation graphics card.
So, when new-generation graphics cards get released in the future, RTX 4060 might not be able to hold itself up in the competition.
If you are looking to future-proof your PC for the next few years, then we suggest that you skip the RTX 4060 and look somewhere else.
AMD equivalent of RTX 4060
If you are team red, you are probably wondering which AMD card will be Equivalent to Nvidia’s RTX 4060.
Well, it would be an AMD Radeon RX 7600. It’s a similarly priced graphics card with the same amount of VRAM and the same 128-bit bus.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 costs 30$ to 40$ less compared to the RTX 4060, but it also falls slightly behind in performance.
The performance difference becomes even more noticeable when it comes to ray-tracing. So, if you prefer ray-tracing games, then Team Green might be your best choice.
Should you buy it?
If you have last-gen’s RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Ti, then it’s a big no from us.
The performance difference between these two generations is so small that it’s not worth upgrading.
On the other hand, if you are picking a completely new graphics card, then you can consider RTX 4060.
However, RTX 3060 is currently 20-30$ less compared to its predecessor. So, it will be a much better value-for-money graphics card right now.
