Irisalis is the first Legendary Aniimo available in Aniimo, and unlike regular creatures, you cannot simply find and capture her while exploring the open world.
Her unlock is tied to a dedicated progression route involving Irisalis Petals, the Legendary Aniipod, and a special Rift encounter.
The current Windchaser’s Departure event also provides an additional way to obtain seasonal rewards after unlocking Irisalis.
The event runs from September 25, 2026, at 10:00 to December 10, 2026, at 07:59 UTC+8, and requires players to reach Student I.
What You Need to Unlock Irisalis
The main item you need is the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. Based on current event information, the crafting cost is 99 Irisalis Petals.
Once you craft the Aniipod, it opens access to the special Irisalis Rift encounter.
The progression is: Earn Irisalis Petals → Craft Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis → Enter Irisalis Rift → Defeat Irisalis → Soothe and become allies → Unlock Irisalis
This is a scripted encounter and not a random overworld capture.
Step 1: Reach Student I
Before you can participate in the current Irisalis event route, you need to reach Student I.
Once you meet the requirement, the Windchaser’s Departure content becomes available. The event introduces the Irisalis Petal economy and its associated Legendary Aniipod.
If you have not reached Student I yet, focus on progressing through the main game and increasing your rank before worrying about Irisalis.
Step 2: Collect Irisalis Petals
Irisalis Petals are the key currency used to progress toward the Legendary Aniipod.
You can obtain Petals through activities in Breezy Plains, including exploration activities and specific story chapters.
There are also weekly sources that become available as you progress through the relevant story content.
One important thing to remember is that Petals are not only useful for the initial Irisalis unlock.
They can also be spent on additional rewards after you craft the Irisalis Aniipod.
Step 3: Craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis
Once you have 99 Irisalis Petals, head to the event crafting interface and craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis.
This is the key step in the entire unlock process. Crafting the Aniipod unlocks the dedicated Rift Space where Irisalis can be encountered.
The Aniipod is not simply another item that you throw at Irisalis during the opening of the encounter; crafting it is what gives you access to the Legendary’s dedicated progression.
Step 4: Enter the Irisalis Rift
After crafting the Legendary Aniipod, you can access the Irisalis Rift.
The encounter is designed specifically around Irisalis, so don’t treat it like a normal wild Aniimo encounter. It’s recommended to bring Fire, Wind, or Dark Aniimo around Level 20 or higher for the fight.
Having a properly prepared team is also important because the Irisalis encounter is part of a one-time Legendary progression sequence.
Step 5: Defeat Irisalis
Once inside the Rift, you need to fight Irisalis.
The encounter is named Irisalis: Rampage. Focus on surviving the battle and reducing Irisalis to the required state rather than trying to capture her immediately.
After the battle reaches the appropriate point, approach Irisalis and select Soothe.
Step 6: Become Allies With Irisalis
After defeating Irisalis, the game gives you the option to interact with her.
Select Become allies! to complete the bond with Irisalis.
This is the final step in the main Legendary unlock sequence. Once the bond is completed, Irisalis becomes part of your Aniimo collection.
What Happens After You Unlock Irisalis?
Unlocking Irisalis does more than add a Legendary Aniimo to your collection.
Once you have crafted the Irisalis Aniipod, the event’s Blessing Gifts progression becomes available.
This lets you spend additional Irisalis Petals on the seasonal Legendary Aniipod: Windchase Departure.
These seasonal Aniipods provide a guaranteed capture with Perfect Innate Potential and Sparkling Form, along with additional seasonal bonuses.
Irisalis herself also unlocks her exclusive Transmog functionality after you befriend her, allowing you to work with her appearance options.
Can You Catch Irisalis Normally?
No. Irisalis is not designed as a normal random overworld spawn.
The launch Legendary system replaced the earlier beta-style approach with a progression route involving special tokens/items, a dedicated Legendary Aniipod, and a scripted encounter.
That means repeatedly searching the open world for Irisalis will not unlock her.
Can You Get More Irisalis?
The main Irisalis acquisition is tied to the dedicated Legendary encounter. However, the Windchaser’s Departure event provides additional seasonal Aniipods after the Irisalis Aniipod has been crafted.
These can be used for guaranteed captures with the event’s specified bonuses, giving you another reason to continue collecting Irisalis Petals after completing the main unlock.
