GTA VI Release Date
Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The game was originally planned for an earlier release window before being delayed to give the development team additional time to polish the experience.
Recent reports also revealed that GTA VI pre-orders will begin on June 25, 2026, marking the start of Rockstar’s major marketing campaign ahead of launch.

Rockstar has not announced a PC version yet. While a PC release is widely expected, the studio has historically launched its biggest titles on consoles first before bringing them to PC at a later date.
Welcome Back to Vice City
GTA VI takes us back to the legendary Vice City, Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami. However, this is not simply a modern remake of the city from 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
The game is set across the entire state of Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional interpretation of Florida.
The world includes bustling urban areas, beaches, swamps, highways, small towns, national parks, and numerous other locations beyond Vice City itself.
Rockstar describes it as the biggest and most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Meet Jason and Lucia
For the first time in the modern GTA era, we will experience a story centered around two protagonists.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the main characters of GTA VI. The pair appear to share a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired relationship, finding themselves caught in a criminal conspiracy after a robbery goes wrong.
Rockstar’s trailers suggest a strong focus on their relationship, making GTA VI potentially one of the most story-driven entries in the franchise.
The Biggest GTA World Ever Created
Based on trailers and official screenshots, GTA VI’s world appears significantly larger and more detailed than GTA V’s Los Santos.
Here are all the elements that will be included in GTA VI’s world design.
Dynamic Wildlife – Alligators, birds, marine life, and other wildlife populate the world, making Leonida feel more alive than any previous GTA setting.
Massive Urban Areas – Vice City features dense traffic, crowded beaches, skyscrapers, nightlife districts, and realistic NPC behavior.
Rural Regions – Beyond the city lies a vast countryside filled with swamps, highways, forests, and smaller communities inspired by Florida’s diverse geography.

Graphics and Technology
Rockstar appears to be pushing current-generation hardware to its limits.
The trailers revealed photorealistic lighting, highly detailed character models, and advanced weather systems, Improved water physics, dense crowds, Realistic reflections and shadows, enhanced vehicle damage and animations.
The visual leap from GTA V to GTA VI may be one of the biggest generational upgrades ever seen in gaming.
GTA VI Online
Rockstar has not fully revealed its online plans, but it is almost certain that GTA VI will receive a successor to GTA Online.
We can expect Rockstar to support the game for many years through regular updates, events, expansions, and online content. However, official details remain under wraps for now.
What About GTA VI on PC?
PC players are still waiting for official confirmation. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date, and all current marketing materials only mention PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Historically, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both arrived on PC after their console launches, so we can expect a similar rollout for GTA VI.

Physical Edition Details
