Finding Mysidia in Final Fantasy: Resonance can be confusing because the city is hidden from the world map.
During Chapter 5, Scars of Time, you must use your airship’s radar to locate the concealed city before continuing the main story.
The good news is that you don’t need to search the entire world map. Mysidia is located in the southern ocean, south of the Kingdom of Pharm. Here’s how to find it quickly and complete the objective.
How to Find Mysidia in Final Fantasy: Resonance
Follow these steps to locate Mysidia and reveal the hidden city.
Step 1: Start Chapter 5 and Board the Airship
First, progress through the main story until you reach Chapter 5, Scars of Time. After the events of the previous chapter, you will gain access to the Enterprise airship.
Once the chapter begins, follow the objective to enter the airship’s interior. Speak with the characters aboard the ship, including Lid, who explains how the radar can detect the magic concealing Mysidia.
After this scene, the main objective will change to Find Mysidia. You can now use the radar while flying over the world map.
Step 2: Fly South of the Kingdom of Pharm
The fastest way to find Mysidia is to head towards the southern part of the world map.
Locate the Kingdom of Pharm, the large landmass on the western side of the map.
Fly towards its southern coastline, then move south through the sea between the mainland’s southern tip and the two smaller islands nearby.
This stretch of ocean is where you should begin searching for Mysidia. You do not need to fly randomly across the entire map or visit every continent.
Step 3: Use the Mysidia Radar
Once you reach the southern ocean, activate the Mysidia Radar while flying the airship.
On a controller, the default radar input is the right trigger (RT); on a keyboard, the default input is X. Check your control settings if these inputs do not work.
Lid will respond to each scan, giving you clues about whether you are close to the hidden city and which direction you should travel.
Here is how to interpret her messages:
| Radar response | What you should do |
|---|---|
| No signal detected | Move to another area and scan again. |
| A faint signal or a reading that is still far away | You are approaching the correct area. Continue searching in that direction. |
| A specific direction, such as north, south, east, or west | Follow the indicated direction and scan again. |
| A strong signal indicating you are very close | Make smaller movements and scan repeatedly to pinpoint the location. |
Pay attention to Lid’s directions rather than flying around aimlessly. If the radar stops detecting anything, turn around and retrace your route until you pick up the signal again.
Step 4: Reveal the Hidden City of Mysidia
Continue scanning as you move through the southern ocean.
When you reach the correct location, activate the radar again to trigger a cutscene in which the magical concealment surrounding Mysidia disappears.
Once the city has been revealed, its location becomes accessible on the map, and you can continue the main story.
You can then follow the next objective to visit Sakura’s house and progress through Chapter 5.
What to Do After Finding Mysidia
Discovering Mysidia is only the beginning of Chapter 5.
After arriving in the city, follow the main story objectives and speak with Sakura to learn more about your next destination.
Your subsequent objectives include visiting the potion factory, travelling to the village of Sunioo, exploring the Nameless Ruins, and progressing through the Arcane Library and Tower of Mysidia.
Completing these objectives will advance the chapter’s story.
