We live in a world where privacy has become very important. Many big companies are using users’ personal data for their own gains. There have been many new laws in recent times to protect user’s privacy. Facebook is the company that gets the spotlight every time we talk regarding privacy laws. Now once again they have failed to save their user’s personal data like phone numbers, email addresses, and so on.
According to Alon Gal, co-founder of Hudson Rock cybercrime company, someone has leaked data of 533 million users on the hacking forum. The data breach has affected users from 106 different countries. It includes details like Full Names, phone numbers, locations, birth dates, and email addresses.
This is not the first time that this has happened. There was a data breach and in the past, which was available to buy for a certain price on the very same forum. However, this time user is giving them away for free.
Business insider has already cross-checked the data and as it turns out its real data. Facebook hasn’t commented yet. However, according to Alon, Facebook doesn’t have much control over this situation as data is already out in the public.
