
AMD announced two new APUs, Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 9 4900HS. these APUs are designed for laptops. these 4000 series processor has 7nm Zen 2 Architecture.
AMD’s ryzen 4000 series APUs are extremely powerful. they even beat some of the last gen’s desktop CPUs. recently Ryzen 7 4800HS managed to outperform i7- 9900k and Ryzen 7 2700x in time spy benchmarks.

We will soon see them in new laptops. AMD also announced that Asus’s ROG Zephyrus G14 will be equipped with Ryzen 9 4900HS. Asus is calling it the world’s most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop. it will have RTX 2060, a 120Hz display, and Windows 10 Pro.
4900HS has 8-Core, 16-threads, and clocks at 3.0 GHz base, boosts up to 4.2 GHz. it consumes 35W power. 4900H has a 3.3 GHz base with a 4.4 GHz boost clock speed, but it consumes slightly more power, 45W. it also has 8-core and 16-treads.
Intel’s Core i9-9880H and i9-9980HK should be direct competitors for Ryzen 9 4900H and 4900HS. according to benchmarks provided by AMD 4900HS defeats i9-9880H in Cinebench R20 by 28%.
AMD’s SmartShift technology is available on both APUs. it allows to shift power between CPU and GPU which helps to optimize different kinds of games.
