Redmi India launched Two new smartphones Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ today. Now we can compare the top model Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus with the top model previous series, Redmi Note 10 Pro max. Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
Performance
CPU: Redmi note 11 Pro+ is powered by Snapdragon 695 chipset. Redmi Note 10 Pro Max had Snapdragon 732G chipset. Based on AnTuTu benchmarks, Snapdragon 695 is almost 17% more powerful than Snapdragon 732G. Aside from that Snapdragon 695 is built on 6nm fabrication compared to 8nm fabrication on Snapdragon 732g, making it more energy-efficient too.
GPU: Redmi note 11 Pro+ features Adreno 619 while Redmi Note 10 Pro Max came with Adreno 618 GPU. Based on 3D mark graphics benchmarks, Adreno 619 is around 5% better in GPU performance compared to Adreno 618.
OS: Both smartphones run on Android 11 but Redmi Note 11 Pro+ will come with MIUI 13 right out of the box.
RAM: They both support up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus can expand RAM up to 11 GB using the RAM booster feature.
Storage: maximum internal storage on Redmi Note 10 Pro Max was 128GB, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ supports up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is integrated with liquid cooling technology, something that wasn’t part of Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Battery Life
Redmi Note 10 pro man had a 5,020 mAh battery while Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has a slightly small 5,000 mAh battery. However Fast charging speed is bumped all the way to 67W from 33W. According to the company, It takes 42 minutes to fully charge the smartphone and only 15 minutes to charge 50%.
Camera
The main camera is almost same on the both smartphones. They both have 108-mega pixels Samsung HM2 sensor. However, Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus comes with a new feature called Dual Native ISO, which is supposed to reduce the noise. On the other hand video recording on 11 Pro Plus is capped at 1080p while the previous one supported 4k video recording.
Ultrawide camera is the same with 8-megapixel with 118° FOV.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max had one of the best macro cameras in the market. However, now it’s reduced to the 2-megapixel macro camera on Redmi Note 11 Pro+. There is no depth sensor either on the new smartphone.
The selfie camera is also the same with the 16-megapixel front camera.
Display and Design
There aren’t any changes in the display. The size is the same 6.67″ with 120Hz, Max brightness is the same 1200 nits and resolution is also 2400 x 1800 pixels. Both have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The design is changed, instead of the slight curvy edges, New Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has flat edges on the side. The overall look is boxy, it’s an attempt to make it look like iPhone. The front camera is still punch-hole in the center and the fingerprint sensor is side-mounted. The back is made of glass, just like Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Connectivity
The biggest upgrade is Redmi Note 11 Pro+ supports 5G connectivity, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max only supported a 4G network. The Bluetooth version is also bumped to 5.1, WiFi connectivity is still the same on both smartphones.

Should you buy/upgrade Redmi Note 11 Pro+?
If you are looking to buy a new one then Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is a good option. The price hike is very small and for that, you get some really good improvements.
Should you upgrade from Redmi Note 10 Pro Max? Well, if the camera is your primary concern then we suggest you wait. Even though camera hardware is the same, there might be some image software optimization that can result in significantly better photos and videos. We need to look at enough sample shots from both smartphones so that we can decide which one has better cameras.
If performance and battery life are your primary focus then go for it. The 5G connectivity still isn’t widely popular but it’s a nice little bonus too.
