Apple launched iPhone 12 series in October last year, and here we are already talking about iPhone 13. Aside from, Super Retina XDR OLED display, 5G connectivity, and better chipset iPhone 12 didn’t have many improvements over the last-gen. In fact, battery performance went downwards!
Any way we can hope iPhone 13 will have significant improvements. Here is the list of all rumored and expected Specs.
Cameras
The first thing we expect in iPhone 13 is better cameras. They have already had a pretty solid camera set up in the 12 series. But it’s not much of an upgrade megapixel wise. Smaller megapixel is the probable reason why iPhone cameras struggle when you zoom in.
Apple is planning on adding a periscope lens for better zoom-in capabilities. Additionally, a wide-angle lens will be getting a larger aperture for low lighting conditions. Lastly, the LiDAR sensor will have improvements for better AR functions.
Display
While making iPhone 12, Apple had quite a dilemma. They could either give 120Hz display or 5G connectivity otherwise the battery would drain very fast. Nowadays 120Hz display is necessary and almost every company is giving it on their flagship smartphones. According to rumors, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro max will have 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate.

Touch ID
Apple originally introduced Face ID in iPhone X. At the start, it was a little jittery but it got better over time. However, in recent times with the Covid-19 pandemic Face ID is having problems recognizing people with masks on. It means the original Touch ID could make comeback, which is also rumored to be hidden under the screen.
Battery
iPhone 11 had a 3,110mAh battery and the new iPhone 12 had an even smaller 2,815mAh battery. iPhone 12 had almost the same battery life as iPhone 11, thanks to Apple’s new A14 Bionic chip. However, because of the 120Hz display, they better start looking at a bigger battery for iPhone 13.
Release Date and Price
Generally, Apple launches their new devices in September. Last year’s release date was delayed and iPhone 12 series was launched in October. This year it will be on time and possibly on 8th September.
Looking at the last smartphones, the price difference between iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 was around 100$. So with new improvements in mind, we can expect iPhone 13 base model to be priced between 879$ to 899$.
