How does it work?
All the supported video games are installed on their server. The video of the gameplay will be streamed on your device. You can control it using some sort of remote access.
There are five different types of streaming quality, Low, Medium, High, Very High, and Ultra. You can choose settings based on your internet speed. There are also three server regions to choose from, Delhi, Banglore, and Mumbai. You can choose whichever is closest to your location. If you are not sure there is a ping test available on their website, which will suggest you best setting and server region.
Once you click on the Play button, the gameplay video stream starts. You will be prompted to a login window of the respective game. For example, if you start Apex Legend, you will need to login into your Origin account. Once logged in the game will start and you will play it normally like you would on your own PC.
How is the gaming experience?
Before we start talking about the gaming experience, keep in mind that this cloud gaming service is still in beta. The gaming experience was quite good. If you casual gamer you won’t have much of a problem. However, if you are a competitive gamer, you won’t enjoy it as much. There are some jitters and occasional lags.
You will experience different performances in different games. In our gameplay, Fortnite ran fine while Apex Legends experienced some hiccups. Even though they say 10mbps is good, you will need much faster internet to run everything smoothly. Switching to LAN from Wi-Fi does help a little bit with performance but there is still some lag in a number of games.
Lastly, there are some loading issues, some games might take way much time to load. There are some input delays and the mouse cursor lags sometimes. Once again keep in my, it’s in the beta stage.
