Intel’s 9th gen(Coffee Lake) faced heavy competition from AMD’s Ryzen CPUs. But Intel is very well prepared for the next round with new 10th gen CPUs which are called Comet Lake CPUs.
Intel 10th gen mobile processor is already out, however Desktop processor are yet make their debut. recently Dell has released a video on YouTube, suggesting Intel’s 10th gen CPUs for PC is coming soon.

Video ad showed Dell’s new XPS Tower Desktop PC powered with Intel’s 10th gen Comet Lake processors for desktop. it seems like they released it too early because at the moment the ad is not available anymore.

At the moment none of us has any clue about 10th gen CPUs. as per rumors Core i9-10900K and i7-10700K will be the front runner of the series.

twitter user @_rogame tweeted benchmarks for i9-10900k. it shows that i9-10900k will have 10 cores and threads, with 3.7GHz base clock and 5.1GHz boost clock.
i9-10900k will be a direct competitor of AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. Ryzen 3900X has 12 core/ 24 threads, and 3.8 GHz base clock/4.6 GHz boost clock.

i9 10900k has a higher boost clock compare to ryzen 3900x. but Comet Lake CPUs gonna be very power-hungry because of 14nm. Ryzen CPUs are much more power-efficient. it will be a really interesting battle whenever Intel’s new desktop CPUs hit the market
