Xiaomi follows Apple’s No In-Box Charger Trend

Apple decided to ditch the charging power adaptor and EarPods inside the box for iPhone 12 lineup. The purpose behind that was to reduce the carbon footprint and save the environment.

Xiaomi immediately took the opportunity to mock Apple by uploading a picture of the Mi 10T Pro box picture. It only showed a power adaptor and said “we didn’t leave anything outside.”

Now surprisingly, Xiaomi will be following in the footsteps of Apple. The CEO, Lei Jun has said that the upcoming Mi 11 also isn’t gonna have In-Box Charger. He also added that many customers not gonna like this decision but it’s better for the environment.

He also revealed the packaging of Mi 11. It looks thinner compare to previous smartphone packaging and an awful lot like iPhone 12 Box. Additionally, there were some key specs of the smartphone on the box.

The Mi 11 will be rocking HDR10+ Super AMOLED display, Harman Kardon Audio tuning, and 108MP camera. The new Xiaomi smartphone is coming on December, 28.

Apple was the first company to get rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack, and later or sooner every other smartphone company followed it. So after Xiaomi, we can expect all the other major smartphone company to follow this no in-box charger trend.
